Formation
Skydiving

Team: 4 performers and one videographer. 

Competition: 10 rounds from 13,000 ft

Scoring: Judges review the video from each jump immediately after the team lands. They use electronic scoring systems to score the video while watching in real time. 

Working Time: 35 secs from when the team leaves the aircraft. This is the amount of time they have to score points.


Draw: The sequence of formations each team has to complete. Each round has a different sequence. All teams are doing the same draw for each round.

Grip: A grip requires stationary contact of the hand on the opposite team member's arm, leg, foot or head as shown in the dive pool.

Head Down: Orientation of the body in which the competitor's torso is approximately vertical with the head pointing towards the ground.


Upright: Orientation of the body in which the competitor's torso is approximately vertical with the head up, pointing towards the sky.

Grip: A grip requires stationary contact of the hand on the opposite team member's arm, leg, foot or head as shown in the dive pool. 

Dive Pool: All possible formations in the MFS discipline. The competition draw comes from this pool the night before competition begins. See VFS dive pool
